About Cornerstone

Welcome to Cornerstone Baptist Church! We are very excited you have taken the time to get to know us. Our story has humble beginnings. We first met in a home on Sunday, June 26, 2006. Soon, we moved into the building pictured on the left where we would worship, serve our community, and even support mission work around the world. Over the next nine years, we would purchase ten acres of land on Jonesboro Road (Hwy 34) and complete construction on our new building, pictured on the right. On December 6, 2015, we held our first church service at our current location. We look forward to seeing you there!
Meet Our Leaders
Pastor Huey Diffey and wife, Phyllis
Pastor Diffey and Mrs. Phyllis have a heart for God and to see His Word preached throughout the world. They have been in ministry together for over fifty years. Bro. Diffey served as Cornerstone's first pastor from 2006-2015 and returned in August, 2020. In addition to pastoring churches, the couple obeyed God in starting their own ministry, Gospel Nuggets Inc. This ministry has provided Bibles and other Christian literature to ninety-nine countries around the world from its headquarters in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Phyllis also serves on the Women's Ministry Team for Cornerstone.
OUR VISION
The vision of the church is summed up in the Great Commission Jesus gave His disciples just before He ascended to Heaven, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:18-20).
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Savior of mankind. We believe Jesus Christ to be eternally God and possess all the attributes of Deity. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin-born, that He was God incarnate, and that the purposes of the incarnation were to reveal God, to redeem all men, and to rule over God's kingdom.

WHAT TO EXPECT
